Rates
Consultations are billed at a base rate of $125 per hour, with time tracked in 15-minute increments after the first hour. There is a one-hour minimum per on-site visit and 30-minute minimum for phone consultation, and travel time (if applicable) is billed at $1 per mile. Additional services—such as reports, follow-up calls, or email correspondence requiring professional input—are billed at the standard hourly rate in 15-minute increments.
My Philosophy
At the heart of my approach is the belief that a healthy mind creates a happy horse. Every aspect of care—from social interaction and environment to nutrition and training—should support the horse’s natural instincts and emotional well-being. Horses thrive when they can move freely, graze often, and form meaningful bonds. I prioritize “friends, forage, and freedom” as the foundation for a balanced, content horse that feels safe, understood, and engaged.
I take a holistic view of horse management, considering the whole horse rather than focusing on isolated issues. This means integrating thoughtful forage based (“food as fuel and medicine”), appropriate movement, mindful handling, and environments designed for physical and mental stability.
Collaboration is also key—I work closely with veterinarians, farriers, excavators, builders, and other professionals who bring valuable expertise to the table. Together, we can execute a shared vision and create the healthiest, most supportive environment for every horse to truly thrive.
